New scientific research community on Process Mining

In September ’16 we applied together with researchers from UHasselt and KULeuven for Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO) funding on supporting a scientific research community on Process Mining. Recently we received the good news that the FWO accepted our proposal. The grant will mainly leverage international mobility between the flemish and the international partners, to improve collaboration, and to organize symposia on post-doc level.

Frederik Gailly is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Ghent University. In the Faculty he is part of the department of Management Information Science and Operational Management. Frederik Gailly obtained his PHD in December 2008 at Ghent University under the supervision of Prof. dr. Geert Poels. The title of his PHD was: ‘The Operationalization of Business Ontologies: representation, formalization and application’. His research interests are conceptual modeling, business modeling and enterprise ontologies.
